An update from our Ladies Captain – Lee Watson.
Congratulations to our Women’s Pennant team who have taken out the 2021 Division Two flag!
HGCC took on Royal Melbourne at Peninsula Kingswood in the Final and our girls came out victorious in a close 4/3 match.
Victorian Pennant is a huge opportunity and the achievement of winning the Division 2 flag this year will see The Heritage team move up to Division One in 2022. There is lots to celebrate about this achievement, but the highlights are:
Our young team climbed from Division Five in 2015, to Division One in 2021. We didn’t compete last year due to COVID. This is an amazing achievement in just six years. The majority of our players are all HGCC ‘home grown’ Members, having joined when young juniors.
Our sponsor for 2020/1 was Bendigo Bank and this enabled us to pay for uniforms, coaching and clinics.

This means Heritage will now be promoted to Division 1 for the 2022 season. Congratulations to everyone who played a part in representing HGCC.
