The Heritage Golf and Country Club’s Dress Regulations

A neat and tidy dress standard is always required when attending the Club for the purposes of golf and or to utilise the Clubhouse. These dress standards apply to members, guests, visitors, caddies, and spectators.

Apparel permitted on the courses:

  • Tailored trousers, shorts, or skirts.
  • Men’s shirts should be always tucked in.
  • Socks at various lengths may be worn with shorts or skirts.
  • Socks must be worn with all golfing footwear whilst on the courses.
  • Golf shoes must be worn whilst on the courses.
  • Clothing supported by PGA Touring professionals playing on i.e., PGA Tour, DP World Tour, Asian Tour, and LPGA Tour is permitted for the purposes of playing golf.

Apparel not permitted on the courses:

  • Denim clothing of any nature, gym clothing, sporting t-shirts.
  • Running shoes, thongs, or bare feet.
  • Drawstring pants or shorts, cargo style pants or shorts.
  • Apparel displaying large advertising.
  • Caps warn backwards.

Apparel permitted in the Clubhouse:

  • Golfing attire which is acceptable on the courses is permitted in the Clubhouse.
  • Caps and general headwear should be removed when entering the Clubhouse except when entering the Pro Shop.
  • Smart denim is permitted in the Clubhouse for the purposes of dining.
  • Women can wear sandals and Men can wear closed shoes without socks.
  • Clothing supported by PGA Touring professionals playing on i.e., PGA Tour, DP World Tour, Asian Tour, and LPGA Tour is permitted for the purposes of playing golf.

Apparel not permitted in the Clubhouse:

  • Ripped denim clothing of any nature, gym clothing, sporting t-shirts.
  • Thongs or bare feet.
  • Caps and general headwear. Religious beliefs can obtain an exemption from the CEO.
  • Golf shoes not permitted in the Yarra Room.
  • Cut off shorts, shorts or pants with elastic waist, shorts or pants with drawstring, and cargo style shorts or pants.
